So, I stayed at the Hostel for three days. I found the staff to be lovely, friendly, and informative. The rooms were clean upon arrival. The food great…and bed comfortable. I would recommend this Hostel to all students. Also, if anyone plans to attend SOuth Western College, There is a great burrito place named the Oasis off of Airport road just a block from San Felipe Road. Julio is friendly and a good cook. THe burritos were huge, delicious, and hot. THANKS…I will be back
My partner and I stayed here two weeks ago and we loved it. The staff and guests were friendly. The kitchen came stocked with all sorts of things that we could actually eat. Since we are vegetarians, this is not always the case. We left some food as a contribution which is apparently what many people do.
We feel it is a great place at a moderate price and we would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the hostel experience.
This place is awesome,I was there for a few days, and it was great, like whole New Mexico is..best wishes from Serbia
Hi,
thanks for this great time,
this place is unbeatable. A great meeting place and a great community. Not the cleanest place, but friendly staff, people, amazing food and all for a good price.
Kudos to Santa Fe International Hostel. This is a hostel where people sit down, share a meal, and share their stories and become friends. There’s always plenty of excellent, healthy food, interesting people to talk to, and the staff are, quite frankly, overqualified, the location near the historic plaza. They introduced me to Santa Fe in a way I could never have duplicated staying at a Holiday Inn. I am now a hostel convert. Thanks Preston, Gayle, Gloria, Tara, Caroline, John, Michael, Robert and Matthew. See you soon.
To everyone at Santa Fe International: you changed my life in just a few days! I miss you already. I want to thank Gloria, Gayle, Sarah, Tara, Preston and Michael for being the best staff in the hostel business. The location is great, the food unbelievable, and the company is best of all. Talk to you after the 10-day retreat.
You think it’s a hostel at first, when you walk in the door and take a look around. But if you pay attention, and do your chores with selfless service and an open heart, you will realize that this is really a meeting place, a convergence of souls and their purposes in a constant funky flux. Many of us passing through here are not exactly sure why we’re here; but we’re also not lost, and know we need to be here for the time that we are. Somewhere in the perpetual flow and motion of change a beautiful equilibrium exists that is this hostel, and if you need a place to be, you can be here.
There was also, no joke, over two hundred dollars in gourmet cheeses here when I checked in, in addition to a steady supply of food for the guests from every corner and angle of the food pyramid. William (above) was the real cook extraordinaire. Everyone seems to think the world is a dangerous, crazy, poor place at the moment, but I have lived very well and safe here.
Truly a wonderful jewel of eclectic Santa Fe, I can’t say what I would have done moving here without the SF International Hostel opening its doors to me. What I can say: I bought a truck, packed my essentials, drove 1800 miles and arrived in a warm and wonderfully well-met way point for travelers, students, and cooks extraordinaire.
Let’s start with the kitchen: a fully equipped commercial outfit (but for a stove oven, though the toaster oven does well for everything but whole turkeys or pizzas…) literally bursting with gourmet trimmings and bustling with conversation and laughter filled my heart with mirth and my belly with impressive and delicious snacks and meal — all included in the price of staying for the night! What does one do with $150-worth of (free) Stilton cheese? You might just find out if you stay here!
After a week+ staying at the SF Hostel and enjoying the central Santa Fe location (easy access to downtown…and Capoeira class at the Bermimbau Academy!), I found a more permanent place to live outside of town. But I leave this place only physically. I bring with me all the new contacts I made in Santa Fe and abroad and fond memories of these “meetings with remarkable men and women”.
Hello to a wonderful place to explore Santa Fe. Friendly and hifsbereite
